Sian has just completed a course with the very talented potter Steve Tootell. She had a wonderful time learning new skills in a friendly and accommodating environment. Based in Apple Tree Studios, Denbigh, Steve can offer pottery classes drawing on his 45 years of experience creating some revered and unique pottery pieces. He has previously hosted exhibitions of his work in Japan, the UK, the US and across Europe.
Steve’s classes can work flexible hours to suit individuals with any ability level; from complete beginners to experienced potters looking for a little refresh Steve has you covered. With courses that accommodate a maximum of two students at any one time, you will be able to get all the hands-on teaching you require and ask any questions you’d like through the process. With an active and accessible tutor on hand, every step of the way you won’t be at the pottery wheel worried about the next move. If you think this might be for you but aren’t completely sure you can even try a taster session with Steve.
With the more courses, you take and the experience you acquire your portfolio of work will naturally grow until you are creating beautiful pottery pieces as often as you want to… or time allows. So join the Great Denbigh Throwdown today and contact Steve about the course you’d like to take to learn the skills you are after. You can visit Steve’s website here, contact him via email at stevetootell@gmail.com or you can phone him on 01745 815748. There will always be a friendly welcome to your enquiries at Apple Tree Studios. Steve’s Apple Tree Studios are based at Bryn Clwyd, Brookhouse Road, Denbigh.
We know Sian is looking forward to completing further work with Steve in the future and we can’t wait to welcome him down to the Griffin for a meal and a soft drink or a pint of something a little stronger!
